What will a website cost me?
Each website is unique and depends on several factors -- the type of site you want -- the multimedia that is involved (galleries, video and audio) -- whether or not you want to sell thing on your site -- whether you want a members section -- and how much content you will provide. You may also need stock photography or vector art as part of your content. We will say this: our pricing is competitive. Contact us for a quote. You will be surprised at the quality of the site you can get for our prices!
Do you do Flash?
We use flash sparingly. Flash is an architecture that is not supported by the iPad, the iPhone and the Macbook Air. We do not advocate doing a site completely based in Flash. If you do want a flash site, look to about between 35%-50% more for your site.
Do you do Web Hosting?
No. We do, however, direct our clients to either Dreamhost.com or BlueHost.com. Dreamhost has some outrageous pricing from time to time. The web hosting and the website address are the responsibility of the client. If you need us to procure it for you, an additional charge to handle the time will apply.
What is your turnaround time?
It depends on the complexity of the site and our current workload. The more content you can provide, the better. We have been known to turn around a site within 48 hours, sometimes less.
I want to do e-commerce (sell things online). Do you do that?
We want to come up with the best solution for you. If you are just doing an online store, there are many solutions out there which are out-of-the-box solutions that we can help configure and integrate your own design to keep your costs down. If a shopping cart is just part of your site and you're not selling that much, we have a few options for you. Feel free to ask.
You request a non-refundable deposit. What's up with that?
A non-refundable deposit indicates that the client is serious about working with us to completion.
Are your rates negotiable?
We will work within any budget and will meet or beat any quote.
I'm not sure what pages I need for my site. Can you help me with that?
The minimum number of pages you need for a site should include a home page, an "about" page, a page further explaining your services, a 404 (missing page) page, and a site map. We do charge by the page and multiple pages can be discounted. We'll work with you to do a needs assessment as part of our quote process.
I am on a budget and cannot afford any surprises with overages. How can I be sure I stay within budget?
We wireframe (create a basic mockup) every project. Each page will be shown with placeholders where the various areas of the page will appear.
Can my site be seen on any browser?
We only support the last two iterations of the Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer and Safari browsers. AOL browsers and other lesser known browsers are not supported.
Can you create a site that is seen on Smart Phones?
Our sites can be seen on any Smart Phone. That being said, if you would like a specific Mobile version, we can create one as well for an additional charge.
Once you're done designing my site, I want to be able to update text and pictures myself.
No problem. Each site comes with a content management system and with a written set of instructions. We can produce a training video for you at a small additional charge.
What is the pricing on your reels?
Show us a quote from a competitor you want to use. We'll beat it. End of story.
What do I need to bring you?
We need electronic copies of some sort. We can rip scenes off DVDs but keep in mind that we do need to charge for that time.
How long will it take? My agent is on my back!
First, tell your agent to chill. Just kidding. If you have the clips ready to go, we can turn a reel around in a matter of a few hours. Remember that video needs time to render.
Can you add Music and Titles?
But of course! However, we will not use music that violates copyright laws. We have music loops and songs that are restriction-free.
What editing system do you use?
Windows Movie Maker. Just kidding. We use Adobe Premiere Pro.
